For primary school kids (5-11 years), a 1.2L-1.4L multi-compartment bento lunch box is the sweet spot — enough room for a sandwich, fruit, snack and a treat. Teens and adults typically need 1.8L-2L. All Happy Kid bento boxes list capacity and dimensions on the product page.
The stainless steel trays are top-rack dishwasher safe. For microwave use, remove the lid first and never microwave the stainless tray on its own — it sits inside the plastic outer shell. Tritan kids bento boxes are fully microwave, freezer and top-rack dishwasher safe. Per-product details are on each product page.
Both are food-grade and BPA-free. 316L contains added molybdenum, giving it higher corrosion resistance against acidic or salty foods — think tomato pasta, citrus or soy-based dressings. 316L is used in medical and marine-grade applications. Most of our stainless bento boxes use 304; our Misanbroo Big Bento is 316L.
Chill the lunch box in the fridge overnight, add an ice pack to the insulated bag in the morning, and use leak-proof compartments to stop flavours mixing. For hot food, pre-warm an insulated food jar with boiling water before packing. Stainless steel surfaces keep food tasting fresh — unlike plastic, they don't absorb odours.
Yes. Every lunch box in our range is BPA-free. Kids bento boxes use food-grade Tritan inner trays; adult stainless boxes use 304 or 316L stainless steel on all food-contact surfaces. Outer shells are BPA-free ABS and PP.
